This Friday, March 8th, is International Women’s Day, “a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women” and highlighting efforts for gender equality. At Falvey Cargo, we’d like to recognize the achievements of the women on our team in honor of this day.
The campaign theme for the 2019 International Women’s Day is #BalanceforBetter, calling for a more gender-balanced world. We’re proud to say that the Falvey Cargo team is more than balanced with 18 out of 24 members being female. We have several strong women leaders who have made significant contributions to our company:
Catherine Hughes-Fury, senior vice president, was Falvey’s second employee and holds the second-highest underwriting authority in the company, behind CEO and president Mike Falvey.
Isabelle Therrien, vice president, heads an all-female team, is one of three female underwriters, and has led the expansion of Falvey’s network of brokers across Canada to increase the footprint of the company.
Kristen Schultz, vice president, is our highest ranked producer and manages the largest U.S. business territory for Falvey Cargo Underwriting.
Kendall Marles, account executive, was one of a select group of people chosen to attend the October 2018 Lloyd's Broker Academy.
Kristin Brock, underwriting trainee, was recently promoted to her current position after her exemplary work on the Claims team, particularly during the historical hurricane season when Harvey, Irma and Maria hit the U.S. coastline.
We look forward to featuring all the inspiring women on our team throughout the year.
Falvey Cargo is committed to supporting the careers of all employees and providing the solutions that make a difference to our clients. Learn more about us.
