Can you instantly tally the number of letters in a sentence? Meghan Handy can. Learn more about the unique skills and talents Meghan brings to Falvey Cargo in this episode of our team spotlight series.
Meghan has been part of our team for just over a year, joining Falvey Cargo in June 2018. Her role as an underwriting technical assistant involves daily communications with brokers and the respective underwriters regarding quotes, policies, and mid-term amendments. She provides hands-on support to underwriters and plays an important role in the high level of service we offer clients and brokers.
About working at Falvey Cargo, Meghan says, “My favorite part is the welcoming environment and the eagerness from everyone around me to help, no matter the obstacle.”
Meghan graduated from Roger Williams University in June 2018, with a bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies and a specialized core concentration in American Sign Language. She and her boyfriend recently adopted two mixed black Labradors and enjoy taking the puppies to local beaches, parks, and breweries. Meghan also spends a lot of time travelling—she took an “active vacation” with a tour group to Iceland last February, which became her favorite vacation spot. Fun fact: Meghan is constantly (and unintentionally) counting the number of letters in any given sentence, whether someone is speaking to her or it’s on the TV, radio, etc. She calls it her favorite party trick!
