For our first article of 2020, we’d like to introduce you to one of the newest members of our leadership team. We’re excited to have the expertise and insights of Graeme Schultz on board—keep reading to learn more about him.
Graeme was appointed vice president for Falvey Cargo Underwriting in October 2019. He brings over 20 years of global insurance industry experience, with strengths in strategic business development, leadership, and underwriting excellence. In his role as vice president, Graeme is responsible for managing and developing a profitable cargo insurance portfolio, which includes underwriting management, production, and broker/client-centric strategic initiatives.
Graeme started his career in the marine insurance industry over two decades ago in South Africa, spending nine years with a large South African property and casualty insurance company, Mutual & Federal. Before joining Falvey, he held various regional marine underwriting and management roles in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Johannesburg with Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (2015-2019) and AIG (2006-2015).
“Even though I’ve only been at Falvey a short time, my favorite thing about working here is knowing that my colleagues are engaged and passionate about what we do,” Graeme continues. “Everyone knows how important their daily contributions are to the success of the company.”
Outside of work, you can find Graeme on the tennis court, golf course, or exploring a new corner of the world with his wife.
