For our April team member spotlight, we’re featuring someone who regularly bogeys on the mini-golf course and is partial to Spanish getaways.
Catherine MacCrae joined Falvey Cargo in August 2016 as an accountant assistant and was promoted to her current position of underwriting technical assistant in January 2018. On a typical day, Catherine is responsible for sending out quotes, binders, policies, and performing other similar administrative duties. The support she provides is particularly valuable to our underwriters as it lightens their workload and allows them to focus on their top priorities.
“Every day something new comes across my desk that makes my job fun and interesting,” says Catherine. “The brokers are wonderful, but my absolute favorite part of my job is the people. Everyone on my team is friendly, fun, and we work very well together.”
Prior to joining Falvey Cargo, Catherine spent six years at a local agency for Allstate Insurance. She started as a telemarketer, worked her way up to an assistant for the agent, and then became a licensed producer for personal lines after earning her Property and Casualty license.
Catherine was born and raised in Rhode Island, and although she’s never moved away for more than a year, she loves traveling. Her favorite destination is the lovely seaside town of Estepona, Spain. Catherine also spends her time reading, hiking, baking healthy treats, mini-golfing, and having game nights with family and friends.
