As we continue to spotlight members of our team, we’d like to introduce Kayla Martineau, our Underwriting Technical Assistant.
Before joining the marine insurance industry, Kayla worked in the special education field for 17 years. Today, she’s a marine insurance expert at Falvey, as her role involves providing efficient customer service and maintaining excellent relationships with her customers. She supports UWs with the production and retention of accounts, which involves overseeing quotes, binders, policies, and endorsements.
Falvey is a wonderful company to work for,” Kayla says. “They provide opportunities to learn and obtain professional growth.” She adds, “It truly is a family environment, where everybody is there for each other and works together each day as a team.”
Originally from Rhode Island, Kayla moved to California in 1988 for 24 years before moving back to Rhode Island to be closer to family. When she’s not at work, you can find her spending time with friends and family. Summer is her favorite season, as she enjoys time outdoors, hiking, going to the beach, and relaxing by the pool with a good book.
